What we collect
- Your name, email address, phone number and preferred contact method.
- The location of the work (postcode and, if you give it, address or village).
- Your description of the work and any photographs you upload.
- Whether you have opted in to occasional tree-care emails (optional).
- With your consent only: anonymous website usage statistics (see our cookie policy).
How we use it, and why
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation — because you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract.
- To carry out and administer work you agree to — to perform our contract with you, and to keep records we are legally required to keep.
- To send occasional tree-care emails — only if you opt in. You can withdraw consent at any time. This is never a condition of getting a quote.
- Website analytics — only with your consent via the cookie banner.
Who can see it
Your enquiry is stored securely with our website hosting and database provider, who processes it on our behalf. Photos you upload are kept in private storage and are not publicly accessible. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To use any of these rights, email info@tomstreecare.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk.
