Specialist tree removal & dismantling

Careful, planned removal of trees in tight spots and near property — dismantled in sections, lowered under control, with stump removal available.

Overview

We only remove trees when we must. When a tree has outgrown its surroundings, become diseased or been damaged by storms — or is close enough to a building to cause harm — careful calculation is needed to take it down safely without damaging property or putting people at risk.

How we approach specialist tree removal

Removal is required when a tree outgrows its surrounding environment, becomes diseased or is storm damaged. It may be growing close to a property with the potential to cause damage, injury or harm. In these cases, careful deliberation and calculation is required to dismantle the tree safely.

Diseased trees don't behave the same way as healthy trees when they are dismantled. Specialist removal means identifying diseased sections before work begins, so the whole job goes safely.

Tom believes planting trees is just as important as removing them. Where we have to remove a tree, we'll talk to you about replanting — Tom keeps his own tree nursery, where trees are often rescued and housed for rehoming.

Check before you fell

Felling a tree protected by a Tree Preservation Order, or in a conservation area, normally needs consent or notice from the local planning authority first. We check this before any tree comes down.

In their words

Kind words from customers.

“When people say I could not recommend highly enough you wonder if it’s too good to be true. Having experienced trades who just want to charge too much for a poor job I am thrilled to have found Tom. He removed two large Ash superbly and as I am a bit of a ‘could you just’ customer nothing was too much trouble and he treats your garden with respect. The downside of letting other people know how fabulous he is means my other tree issues might take a bit longer to sort….thank you!”
